Enchanted Castle
By Christine Escobar Enchanted Castle is an indoor family fun center that houses typical redemption games, a pizza restaurant and birthday party rooms. But it appeals to families with preschoolers because of its inexpensive indoor miniature golf and soft tunnel play area.
Enchanted Castle is one of 4 family fun centers owned by Trails Entertainment Centers in the Chicagoland area. The west suburban Lombard location is one of the oldest and is located in an unassuming strip mall. The castle theme is only really evident on the inside of the building, as the walls are made up to look regal.
What Preschoolers Will Love about Enchanted Castle
Admission is free and visitors pay per attraction or purchase tokens for the redemption games. Unlike some other indoor fun centers, several of the games are suitable for young children and the machines tend to deliver many tickets, which makes redeeming prizes at the end of a visit a treat for kids.
The indoor miniature golf is lots of fun for preschoolers as it includes many castle-themed sets and props. The course is not too hard for preschoolers, yet challenging enough for adults playing along. Kid-size clubs are available for young visitors.
The Kids Quest Playland soft play area consists of tunnels and climbing areas and is a great way for preschoolers to let out some extra energy indoor on rainy days. Socks are required in this area.
After a good time, preschoolers and their parents may want to stop at the pizza restaurant that serves sandwiches, salads, drinks, frozen treats and of course, pizza.
Birthdays Parties At Enchanted Castle
Birthdays are the specialty of Enchanted Castle and they have several packages to choose from. Packages include tokens and attractions for guests, pizza, soda and tableware, as well as reserved seating in the birthday party room. Some packages include cake and ice cream as well. During their party, children can participate to win a prize in the interactive show hosted by staff. In general, staff at Enchanted Castle are very accommodating to parents of birthday boys and girls. The shared party room is well maintained and clean and spacious enough for large parties.
