Chicago Preschooler Library Activities

There’s more to your local library than just books. Neighborhood branches of the Chicago Public Library and suburban Chicago libraries host craft sessions, preschooler friendly movie showings, interactive musical storytimes, mini concerts, summer reading programs for prizes and more.

Some programs require advanced registration, so check with the hosting branch beforehand. And while many programs are developmentally appropriate for 2-5 year olds, it’s good to ask a librarian if you are unsure about the suitability for your particular child.
