This expansive zoo located in near west suburban Brookfield is a major family destination and very popular with parents of preschoolers. Many preschooler friendly interactive animal exhibits and family friendly conveniences make this zoo a great spot to visit year round.

Mary Richardson Jones Park
This South Loop park has a fun interactive playground that preschoolers will enjoy complete with a large train, ticket booth and more. A rare and scenic find in downtown Chicago, it has a beautiful view of the Sears Tower.

Northside Parents Network
This large volunteer-run organization offers Chicago families support, education, playgroups, discussion boards, school information fairs, parent social groups and more. Over 92% of its member families have preschool age children.

Homers Restaurant
A community fixture in North Shore suburban Wilmette, Homer's Restaurant is famous for their delicious homemade ice cream. Preschoolers will love their classic flavors and menu which also includes hot dogs, sandwiches and kids' meal favorites. Parents will appreciate the fast service.

Eriks Deli in Oak Park offers homemade chips, daily specials, a large variety of sandwiches and hot entrees to please appetites young and old. They're open early for lunch and late for dinner or a snack.

Superdawg
Just like a drive-in movie, only it's a restaurant. You won't have to leave your car for hot dogs, burgers, fountain delights and more all served carside at this northside Chicago family favorite. Still in its original location, just look for the giant hot dogs on top!
